I actually laughed when I saw this on the telly

I'm hardly his biggest fan, but IMHO he summarises the whole topic in thirty seconds and rounds it off with a punchline worthy of Prince Philip:

It would have been funny if it had been delivered with a decent build up and proper timing. I'm afraid I just found it embarrassing.

What I liked was the attempt yesterday, by the usual suspects, to try and make it sound like Cameron's 'Basil Fawlty moment'. Bollocks.

It was good but could have been improved as Stan suggests.

S, G, that's why it's so funny - he isn't a stand up comedian, he didn't plan it - but he just couldn't help himself!

You see that he pronounces "where" with a strong German accent but then promptly wimps out (alarm bells started ringing) and does the rest of the sentence without an accent.

Hilarious.

I'm nicking it for my own.

Oh dear lord. Thank-you David, a good speaker you certainly are not.

The way he said "Where are your papers?" sums Cameron up for me.

If he had any backbone he would have screamed "Ausweis, bitte!" at the audience but we can't have that, can we?

Paul, see my previous comment - that's what's so funny - he was desperately fighting the urge to shout "Ausweis bitte!" (as anybody else would have done) and then managed to fall between two stools.

Why shouldn't he pretend to be a Swiss copper?
