Beating fakecharities at their own game...

Visit Alcohol Focus Scotland and vote on the statement "Cheap alcohol is damaging health and society, I support minimum pricing".

We are currently ahead, with 72% having voted "No" out of 900 votes so far.

Bizarrely, you are allowed to vote as many times as you like. They really have thought this one through, haven't they?

MW, they are probably drunk, hence no thought process!

The question is also a logical fallacy (can't remember the exact name) along the lines of "Paedophiles pose a threat to our children: I support a universal DNA register".

I got bored so added enough votes to move No up to 74%.

Its 84% now and rising, I've had abot 15 votes so far. I suspect they'llbe taking it down when they realise!

Cheers Mark, 4,000 votes since 6am today; as at 00:15 Fri am 4,760 votes, 95% NO!
Whoever is responsible for their website will be in for a bit of a shock tomorrow morning ( once they've stopped moaning about QT ).

I have the page saved as a MHTNL document but have never got the hang of screenshots.

I don't think the multiple voting feature was an accident: I'm sure someone from AFS will sit there clicking away until the "correct" result is achieved.
Next we will see a press release trumpeting "An online poll revealed......"

You mean you support minimum pricing?

Hopefully, the HSE will sue them for encouraging practices leading to RSI!

17:00 hrs Friday

93% No - 7% Yes with 8747 votes

Down from 95% NO this morning, clearly some late postal votes from the Yes camp coming in.

22:30 hrs Friday

94% No - 6% Yes with 7202 votes

Well that is odd, 1,500 votes seem to have disappeared.

Banned, they will stick at nothing to get a "Yes", we all know that. I gave it another ten "Noes" just now.
