"Escaped cow... charges man, leaving him injured"

Emailed in by James Higham from The Geelong Advertiser:

A MAN ended up in Geelong hospital with head and chest injuries after an escaped cow charged at him in Hamlyn Heights yesterday.

Paramedics rushed to Vines Rd after reports a man in his 50s had been knocked out by a cow about 4pm.

The man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police and City of Greater Geelong officers spent more than two hours trying to capture the animal, believed to have escaped from Geelong sale yards.

Nice to know that foreign cows also do this sort of thing. Maybe not so nice to know.

Where's Mick Dundee when you need him?

When I read the headline, thought Cherie Blair was loaded off at Tony. Sadly, I was mistaken.

Damn this autocorrect. Meant to say "pissed off".

If he was "knocked out by a cow" then surely this fight contravened the Queensbury rules. Cows tend to be much heavier than humans.

JH, the answer must be "not so nice", or else we could import peace loving foreign cattle to replace our own violent ones.

JM, he moved to New York, didn't he?

PS, is Cherie in prison? Where would you expect her to escape from.

IH, excellent point. Not sure what we do about it though. Kill the cow as punishment and then eat it to teach the others a lesson?
